Our group was founded in 2011, triggered by the 150th anniversary of Japan/Germany's friendship. Many ceremonies were planned, but affected by the Earthquake disaster in March 2011, some were unfortunately cancelled. Our purpose is to create further goodwill between Japan and Germany through folks dance Bon Odori, and additionally to support the sites of Earthquake disaster in Japan.
We are a registrated association in Germany since 2011 as Nichi-Doku Bon-Odori Kai e.V.
Feeling grateful and appreciation for the great help to Catastrophe-hit area from all over the world, we are attending to Frankfurter carnival, and hosting a summer festival Bon Odori in Frankfurt/Liebfrauenberg.
